Manx2.com is joining Isle of Man Tourism to promote the Isle of Man at two major tourism events in Belfast and Dublin this month. The Holiday World Shows have become two key events in the holiday booking calendar, providing unrivalled access to potential visitors from across Ireland.
Representatives will be present at the visitisleofman.com stand offering advice and information to a range of trade and individual show visitors. The stand also features a HD screen showing videos of the island.
The Belfast Telegraph Holiday World took place last weekend (21 - 23rd January) and is considered the first major tourist exhibition in 2011. Around 30,000 visited the show over three days – around 30% more than in 2010 – and the visitisleofman.com stand was again one of the busiest.
Noel Hayes, Chairman, Manx2.com said: ‘Attending shows takes a major commitment of resources but it’s really important to represent and promote the Isle of Man to people in the adjacent islands. For the Irish markets with our network now covering Belfast, Cork and Galway airports we can provide easy and frequent access to the Island.
‘We work closely with Tourism and government to maximise the Isle of Man message and together with Isle of Man Tourism staff we’ll be using the visitisleofman.com stand to showcase the Island’s many unique attractions.’
Director of Tourism, Rod Nipper, said: ‘We want the world to know what an interesting and accessible travel destination the Isle of Man is and events such as the Holiday World Shows allow us to speak to potential visitors about all we have to offer.
‘I’m delighted we’re being joined on the stand by Isle of Man travel and accommodation service providers who play a key role in making the Isle of Man a great destination.’
This Dublin World Travel Show is taking place this weekend (28 – 30 January) at the RDS Simmonscourt Pavilion.
