Manxnet TV Brings You News and Entertainment on Demand

by isleofman.com 26th January 2011
Manx Telecom has launched Manxnet TV, a new element to its hugely popular manx.net website that pulls together the best Isle of Man news, entertainment and music videos in one place. With the vast majority of Manx Telecom’s customers now taking advantage of superfast broadband, Manxnet TV demonstrates the fantastic video quality that’s available through the ADSL2+ service. TV viewing habits are changing rapidly and Manxnet TV is aimed at keeping pace with the trend of watching what you want, when you want via the internet, in addition to traditional terrestrial and satellite services. Voirrey Barron, Manx Telecom Marketing Communications Manager, said: “We already know from the number of visitors we get each week that manx.net is incredibly popular for access to manx.net email, classifieds and local news and weather, but we wanted to add another dimension. Manxnet TV enables our customers to enjoy the latest local video content on demand, all together in one useful area. We are looking forward to hearing what our customers think of the new addition to the site and what video content they’d like to see in the future.” To access the new service simply go to www.manx.net and click the new ‘TV’ tab where it also provides useful links to other popular on-demand TV and video sites. Manx Telecom will soon be launching their own video channel bringing you news about MT community events, plus useful information relating to new products and services. - ENDS -
