Hannah, Bella, Roisin & Chloe from Form 3 at the Buchan ran a Christmas Raffle to raise funds for the MSPCA last term. They raised the magnificent sum of ?89. Together with Mrs Cottier and Miss MacGregor the girls went to Ard Jerkyl in Foxdale to visit the staff and animals at the MSPCA. They were taken on a tour of the Rescue Centre where they met Brandy and Spot the dogs and Pumpkin the ginger Tom cat. They also visited the seal pen to see three seal pups that had been found washed up on the beach. On their way out they said a quiet hello to the 22 hedgehogs snoring merrily in the quiet room. They were disappointed that Mrs Hedley didn't want a kitten or puppy brought back to school for the children to look after!! - ends -
