IOM Squash - B League

by isleofman.com 1st February 2011
B League – Results: Alloms Jewellers Juniors (225) v BRW Racketeers Academy (83); BRW Racketeers (214) v Body & Mind (165); Jewel Tech (199) v Island Exhaust (202); Onchan Outcasts (210) v All About Gardens (188); REMEMBER the date Tuesday, January 25, 2011 because it is sure to be an answer in a Manx sports quiz in the future. This was the day that the BRW Racketeers claimed their first ever league victory. After 18 months of trying, and a near miss in last week’s test match against the club’s Academy squad, the Racketeers brought their 100 per cent losing streak to an end against fellow B League battlers Body & Mind. These three, along with Motorvation G, will make up League D as the B League splits into three leagues after the first round of matches. Jewel Tech and Alloms Jewellers Juniors are guaranteed places in the post-split B League; there they should be joined by Apollo Consulting, who are playing two matches this week to fulfil their first round programme. Who will join them will depend on the outcome of outstanding results with Onchan Outcasts, Island Exhaust and International Divers all in with a chance at the time of writing (Monday evening). All About Gardens will be in the C League along with Alliance & Leicester International Lions, although the latter still have a mathematical chance of making the B League. All results must be posted before Thursday 4th February and are important because first round scores between teams in the same league after the split will count. League tables will be automatically updated as results are posted and can be view at www.iomsra.com For more information and full match reports visit: www.iomsra.com. Ends
