Hit and Run RTC

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle in a hit-and-run Road Traffic Collision on Ballaquayle Road, Douglas, outside Clifton Terrace. At 11.15am Tuesday, 1st February, 2011, a male pedestrian walking down the side of his van outside Clifton Terrace was struck by a dark coloured car travelling up the road from Broadway. The nearside wing mirror of this car hit the male’s left forearm causing the wing mirror to break off and causing a serious injury to the male’s left forearm. The vehicle did not stop and continued driving up the road and away from the area. This vehicle was followed by two other motor vehicles, believed to be cars. ENDS
