A Barclays Wealth employee has won a box for four at the Gaiety Theatre for the Take That 2 show in aid of Junior Achievement Isle of Man on Friday February 11.
Technical specialist Tom Barklie won first prize in the raffle organised by the charity that includes the box, donated by Junior Achievement, a three-course meal for four at the Gallery restaurant donated by the Sefton Hotel and champagne and chocolates in the Gaiety box donated by Shoprite.
Second prize was a bracelet valued at ?140 from Pandora, third prize a ?100 B&B Furniture voucher and fourth prize a meal for two at Sir Norman’s, courtesy of the Sefton Group.
Tom, who is from Northern Ireland and lives in Vicarage Road, Douglas with his wife Vivien and two children said: ‘I’m really pleased to have won because we and our two friends who’ll be joining us in the box tried to book tickets for one of the Take That tour dates but were unsuccessful, so this is great, especially as my wife’s such a big Take That fan. I seem to be on a winning streak at the moment; in December I won a prize at work, a flying experience in the UK.’
Take That 2 is billed as ‘the UK’s number one Take That tribute band’. All proceeds from their concert on February 11, sponsored by OSA Recruitment and supported by 3FM, will go to Junior Achievement Isle of Man. Tickets are ?20 each and on sale at www.villagaiety.com, the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal and at the Villa Marina box office.
