by isleofman.com 15th February 2011
The Children’s Centre Out2Play scheme has a fun packed week in store for youngsters this half-term. It all starts at Onchan School’s Sports Hall on Monday February 21 from 10am to noon with more activities in locations across the Island planned for the rest of the week. As usual, the sessions are run by The Children’s Centre Playworkers supported by volunteers and as well as offering a chance to play it is also a good opportunity to meet new friends. Sessions are open to children aged four to 11. Chris Gregory, Playwork Development Officer at The Children’s Centre, said: “For February we’ll be retreating indoors, but as always there will be lots going on. The children can run around playing lots of games, build massive dens, race scooters and go-karts, to name but a few of the opportunities on offer. There will be a surprise or two along the way as well.” The full list of Out2Play session this half-term is as follows: Monday February 21 Onchan - Onchan School Sports Hall - 10am to noon; Laxey - Laxey School Sports Hall - 2pm to 4pm. Tuesday February 22 Castletown - Castle Rushen High School Sports Hall - 10am to noon; Ramsey - Ramsey Grammar School Sports Hall - 2pm to 4pm.
