Neil Taggart Appointed a Director of Chrystals

Mr Taggart, 30, joined the company in 2005, working in Chrystals’ Ramsey branch and for the past five years has been manager of the Douglas office. A qualified Chartered Surveyor and member of the National Association of Estate Agents he specialises in negotiating sales of high-end premium residential properties and handles all aspects of rural professional work. In 2010 he was responsible for securing agricultural land sales of more than 1000 acres. Born in the Island and raised on Billown Farm, he attended Arbory Primary School and Castle Rushen High School where he was head boy. He took a degree in estate management from Harper-Adams University College in Shropshire then gained experience with estate agents Savills and land agents Smiths-Gore before returning to the Island and joining Chrystals where, as a student, he had worked during the summer vacation. He lives in Castletown with his wife Marion and their 18-month-old twins Oscar and Finlay. Mr Taggart’s fellow directors on the board of Chrystals, the Island’s longest-established estate agency founded in 1854, are Shane Magee, David Watson and Nigel Crowe. Ends
