Broadway and Beyond To Boost Mayoral Charity Appeal Fund

More than 100 local performers are to appear in a variety show at the Villa Marina on Saturday March 26 in aid of the Mayor of Douglas’s charity appeal fund. Billed as Broadway and Beyond, the show will be compered by Dot Tilbury and Geoff Corkish MHK and sponsored by Celton Manx with additional support provided by Alliance and Leicester International. The packed programme will include a tribute to Disney by Gina’s Dance Academy; songs from the musicals by Manx Voices; Broadway medleys and numbers from Grease the Musical by the Vegas Entertainers; performances from Stage One drama school and Represent dance company; a medley of numbers by the Manx Gilbert and Sullivan Society; show tunes from Manx Concert Brass and songs from Georgia Maddocks. The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are ?5 per person for seats in the stalls and circle in the Royal Hall, ?7.50 per person for cabaret-style seating at tables, or ?65 for a table of 10.
