Manx Hidden Hearing, a hearing health clinic at the Village Walk in Onchan, has announced its second annual Hearing Aid Scrappage Scheme.
Between February and May, hearing aid users will be able to trade in their old hearing aid for ?150 off the cost of a new device. For those who wear a hearing aid in each ear, they can trade in both aids and claim ?300. That will go a long way towards getting them a new digital hearing system. Newer models can offer hearing aid wearers the advantages of being both more powerful and more discreet and can include WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing them to connect directly to mobile phones and TVs.
The Scrappage Scheme is open to all hearing aid users, no matter where they bought their original hearing aid. The only condition is the hearing aid must be at least 4 years old.
Guy Wolstencroft, audiologist and Manager of Manx Hidden Hearing, commented on the scheme: “The scrappage scheme gives hearing aid users on the Island the opportunity to benefit from the quality of life improvements that a new hearing aid can bring, and at a reduced cost. I’m really glad we can offer that to locals with hearing difficulties.”
Guy continued: “We offer free consultations and I am confident that anyone who comes in with a hearing aid eligible for the scrappage scheme will be amazed at what digital technology can offer them. We also provide a 30 day money back guarantee, so in the unlikely event that you aren’t entirely satisfied with your new system we will offer a full refund.”
Hidden Hearing is a leader in hearing healthcare in the British Isles, and has been in business for 40 years with 78 state-of-the-art hearing centres throughout England, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man.
