Damage To Fooball Nets

by isleofman.com 23rd February 2011
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team are seeking information from the public in relation to further damage to football nets which has occurred in the South of the Island over last weekend. Overnight on Friday 18/02/11 into Saturday 19/02/11 damage has been caused to football nets situated at Malew Football Club in Ballasalla and also to four sets of nets situated at King Williams College in Castletown. Once again, the nets have been cut away from the goal posts they were attached to resulting in them being damaged beyond repair. On the night in question, the weather was extremely wet and windy and it is believed that the culprits will have been in the area of King Williams College for a significant period of time. The Southern Neighbourhood Policing team are linking this crime to similar incidents which occurred in the area in January 2011 and would ask that if any person has any information which may assist in this investigation, they contact Port Erin Police Station on 832222 or phone the Crime Stoppers Line on 0800555111.
