ENDS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Between 5pm on Wednesday 23rd and 8am on Thursday 24th February 2011 two large copper water tanks have been stolen from a building site at The Old Nobles Hospital on Westmoreland Road in Douglas. These tanks were fairly large in size and therefore would have needed a large vehicle to transport them. The police would like to hear from anyone with any information regarding this theft, including the movement of any vehicles in the area between the times stated. Ends -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Constable Jenette Martin from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident of theft from Carefour Gym in Douglas. The theft occurred on Tuesday 22nd February 2011 between approximately 5.00pm and 6.30pm in the changing rooms. Taken was a black coloured purse which contained personal items, including a ring which has sentimental meaning to the owner. The owner is distraught by the theft of the ring which is irreplaceable because of its family connections. The ring is described as a yellow metal ring with alternated blue and clear stones. Police would also like the public to be aware of any person(s) selling such a ring and contact PC Jenette Martin at Lord Street Police Station. If you have any information regarding this matter, then please contact Police immediately. ENDS.
