Appeal for Witnesses

Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for witnesses or information following the theft of a large quantity of copper cable which has been cut down from the overhead power lines of the Manx Electric Railway. The Copper cable has been removed from a remote section of tram lines between Ballagawne Road and Baldrine Road, Baldrine and occurred between midday Tuesday 01st March 2011 and 3.00pm Wednesday 02nd March 2011. A vehicle and possibly a trailer are believed to have been used to remove the stolen cable from the area. Police would ask that any person who may have noticed anything suspicious in regard to what is seen as a Crime against the National Heritage of the Isle of Man to contact Onchan Police Station on 675190 or the Isle of Man Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
