Police are requesting information regarding a vehicle being damaged. Between 6.00pm on Thursday 3rd March and 8.00am Friday 4th March 2011 a dark green coloured Subaru has sustained impact damage on the front of the driver’s side causing significant damage. The Subaru was parked in Christian Avenue, Kirk Michael and a light coloured vehicle was seen leaving the area around 1.45am on the Friday morning, police are keen to talk to this driver. Officers are investigating a report of a hit and run, road traffic collision that occurred in Mount Bradda, Douglas, at 12.55pm on Thursday 3rd March 2011.
It is believed that an unknown vehicle has clipped and damaged a wing mirror of a black Mercedes car that was parked up and left unattended on Mount Bradda at this time.
Police would like to speak with anybody who was in the area at this time or the driver of the vehicle that at the time may not have realised that damage had been caused.
It is believed that the incident may have been witnessed by a passing cyclist who was seen to stop at the time of the collision.

The police would like to thank those who provided information to assist police in the recovery of the canoe. Officers from the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating the theft of a large green canoe that has occurred in the evening of Thursday 3rd March in to the early hours of Friday 4th March 2011 in the area of Saddlestone, Douglas. The canoe is a substantial size measuring approximately 11 feet in length and is a considerable weight, meaning that a vehicle would have been used.
Police Constable Watterson of the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team states “The canoe is a distinctive design and one of a very few number on the island. I would encourage any persons who may have knowledge of this offence or if they are suspicious about one being sold on to them, then they are to get in touch with the police.”
