A Song for Europe…in Union Mills

by isleofman.com 7th March 2011
If ‘Ding-a-Dong’ rings a bell with you or ‘Waterloo’ means more than the 4.23 to Windsor and you’re having trouble ‘Making your Mind Up’ what to do on May 14, then Junior Achievement has the answer. The charity has organised a Eurovision Song Contest party on May 14 at Union Mills Football Club starting at 7.30pm and in keeping with the camp-fest that is Eurovision, you’re invited to come in fancy dress, perhaps in the guise of a former contestant - Dana International maybe? – or kitted out in the colours of your favourite country, (Bosnia & Herzegovina’s are a rather fetching blue and yellow). You can watch all the action on big-screen TV, bet on whom you think will win or if you think the UK will earn more than ‘nul points’, have a great time and raise funds for Junior Achievement Isle of Man, a Manx-registered charity dedicated to helping the Island’s young people gain essential skills for when they leave full-time education. Tickets are just ?5 and include a buffet. (18s and over only admitted). Tickets must be booked in advance. Call Tina Edge on 666266 or email tina@jaiom.im. Alternatively book online at www.jaiom.im. Junior Achievement Isle of Man, Suite 2, Peterson House, Middle River Industrial Estate, Douglas, IM2 1AL. Union Mills Football Club is at Ballaoates Road, Braddan. Ends
