19th & 20th MARCH 2011, Philip Christian Centre, Peel
The Manx Heritage Foundation Manx Music Team is holding a workshop weekend for musicians in March based at the Philip Christian Centre in Peel. Workshops are suitable for existing traditional musicians as well as for anyone who’s interested in extending their skills to a new genre.
Tutors are renowned Scottish multi-instrumentalists Anna Massie and Mairearad Green, who have featured in a whole host of bands as well as performing as a critically acclaimed duo. Individually, they can be seen performing with a number of well-known artists such as The Poozies, Blazin Fiddles, Karen Matheson, Box Club, Eddi Reader and Karine Polwart, and together in Scotland’s one and only Celtic Big Band, The Unusual Suspects!
