TravelWatch Public Meeting

by isleofman.com 9th March 2011
TravelWatch Public Meeting – Saturday 19th March 2011 The Spring TravelWatch Public Meeting is being held on Saturday morning March 19th at the Villa Marina – with doors open from 09.30. As well as welcoming back Director of Public Transport Ian Longworth to update us about on-Island passenger transport matters, we will be providing an update on the Sea and Air travel situation before moving on to a wider discussion on the passenger travel issues that might beneficially be raised with candidates standing for the House of Keys in the forthcoming General Election. In order to inform that discussion we will be asking those coming to the meeting to indicate the issues they see as priorities – and for those unable to get to the meeting there is an on-line form which can be completed before the meeting on the TravelWatch website www.travelwatch-isleofman.org – look for the item on the front page headed WE NEED YOUR HELP. We will also be providing updates on ? the prospective Transport Consultative Group for air and sea transport ? progress of the Which? Campaign against excessive credit and debit card charges – to which people can still sign up through the link on our website. The Public Meeting is expected to start around 10.15, or immediately after our Annual General Meeting at 10.00 (to which the public are of course invited). Doors will be open at 09.30. Admission is free – but we always welcome new members, donations towards our work, and the cost of coffee. Full details of how to join TravelWatch-ISLE OF MAN - as well as the information and guidance we provide for passengers - can be found on our website: www.travelwatch-isleofman.org Ends
