Isle of Man Marks World Kidney Day

Thursday 10th March 2011 was World Kidney Day, and the Department of Health’s Renal Unit at Noble’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Jack Quirk Renal Fund, marked this with several events on the Island: Two information stands on Kidney related issues at Nobles Hospital from Monday 7th March and at the Strand Shopping Centre on Thursday 10th March. Bag packing at Shoprite on Victoria Road, Douglas on Thursday 10th March. On Saturday 12th March the public are invited for Afternoon Tea at St John Ambulance Centre, Glencrutchery Road, Douglas from 2.00pm – 4.30pm. Tickets are ?2.50 and there’ll be various stalls and a raffle. All monies raised from the various events will go to The Jack Quirk Renal Fund. - Ends -
