A good week for the junior teams. In the C league Alloms Jewllers Junior had a narrow victory over Island Exhaust, however it wasn’t enough to leapfrog their opponents, who stay top of the table. Closest game of the night was between Ian Sheard and Nathan Quilliam with Qulliam emerging victor in the fifth. Meanwhile, in the D League, Alliance and Leicester International Lions beat Onchan Outcasts to stay top of the table. This was a closely fought encounter with three matches going to the deciding fifth game, Liam Quinn & George Griffiths taking the honours for the home side and Gareth Roome for the visitors. Patrick Fitzpatrick had a good straight sets win over Stuart Highy while Ben Atkinson came back to win after losing the first against Ayeln Taggart. In the other D League match International Divers had a good win over a slightly understrength All About Gardens where sponsor Lawrence Rea looked good to oust Shane Martin from the No.1 spot. His match against Ian Barnes went all the way, ending in the favour of Barnes although Rea sought credit for knocking a bottle of the shelf at the front of court in the second game.
