The Way We Wore: ‘D Day’ for Age Concern Isle of Man

by isleofman.com 15th March 2011
Age Concern Isle of Man is asking people to dig deep, not into their pockets on this occasion but into their wardrobes, to donate good quality clothing and accessories - from ‘posh frocks’ to ‘it’ bags - that can be offered for sale at Isle of Man Newspapers’ Fashion Exchange event in aid of local charities being held on Sunday March 27 at the Villa Marina from 12noon to 4pm. Chief executive George Quayle said: ‘We welcome the Fashion Exchange event which we see as capturing the spirit of the times. This isn’t just about “bagging a bargain” - it’s about supporting ethical rather than throwaway fashion and, of course, raising funds for Age Concern Isle of Man and the many other local charities all working hard in an uncertain economic climate to further the wellbeing of others.’ The team at Age Concern can arrange to collect donated items no later than March 23 to allow for labelling and pricing. Just call 613044 or email fun@ageconcerniom.com. Ends
