PDMS to attend National Police Collaboration Conference

PDMS join forces with the Police National Legal Database team to highlight the benefits of IT collaboration PDMS, are pleased to announce that they will be jointly exhibiting with the PNLD (Police National Legal Database) team at the National Collaboration Conference which is to be held on the 22nd and 23rd of March. The Conference is being held at the National Police Improvement Agency (NPIA) Ryton Conference Centre in Coventry and the theme is : ‘Collaboration: Saving money, improving performance’. The aim of the conference is to share best practice, focusing on improving performance and getting value for money. Speakers include Policing Minister Nick Herbert, HM Chief Inspector of Constabulary, Sir Denis O’Connor, and President of the Association of Chief Police Officers, Sir Hugh Orde. Kent and Essex police Authorities are hosting this year’s event, the two forces have been at the forefront of collaborative working for the past few years now and have had a number of joint working initiatives that have been hugely successful including setting up one of the largest specialist crime units outside of the Metropolitan Police. So far their collaboration efforts have saved ?8million and provide substantially improved operational capacity and capability. PDMS work with the public sector to deliver regional and national shared services and collaborative IT solutions that deliver substantial cost savings. As PNLD’s IT partners we have worked together on a number of award winning projects including the National Police FAQ Portal and the National Police Statistics Database. Ends
