Abacus provides their 10th annual donation to NNU in support of their ongoing work to babies and their families
18 March 2011 (Douglas, Isle of Man) - - Douglas based fiduciary and fund administration service provider, Abacus, has made their 10th annual donation to the Isle of Man’s Neonatal Unit (“NNU”).
Today, the registered charity based at Nobles Hospital, Braddan, received Abacus’ latest donation, a sum of ?1,170.80.
Lead Nurse Paul McCann said: “NNU place all donations they receive into a fund which is then used to purchase any new equipment or develop existing facilities for the unit.
“All donations received play a part in ensuring the unit is fully equipped and in full working order so that we can concentrate on providing the best care possible to our patients and their families. To that extent we would like to thank Abacus for their generosity and support over the last ten years, and for their latest donation. We are very grateful.”
John Corteen, Shareholder Services Manager at Abacus and a member on Abacus’ Corporate Responsibility Committee said: “Abacus has now been donating to the island’s Special Care Baby Unit for ten years and we hope to continue this support for the foreseeable future. SCBU is such a worthwhile charity and the unit should be congratulated on the continuous care and support they provide to babies and their families.”
The latest donation was raised through a number of small fundraising initiatives, staff and company donations.
