New Refuse Collection Vehicle for Ramsey Town Commissioners

Ramsey Town Commissioners have become the Island’s first local authority to take delivery of a new-generation refuse collection vehicle. Representing an investment of ?145,000 the new Dennis Eagle Olympus vehicle has been acquired as part of the Commission’s rolling fleet replacement programme. The keys were officially handed over to lead member for works and development Kevin Mayne by the manufacturer’s regional sales manager, Paul Hobday who said: ‘Dennis Eagle has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Ramsey Town Commissioners and I am delighted that once again we were successful in securing the business to supply one of our products.’ Mr Mayne said: ‘The Dennis Eagle Olympus features increased fuel efficiency and meets all the latest European emission standards. Additionally we understand that Port Erin Commissioners have expressed interest in this vehicle type and we shall be pleased to arrange a demonstration for them in due course.’ Ends
