Age Concern Isle of Man To Open Third Shop

by isleofman.com 22nd March 2011
Charity urges: ‘donate it, don’t dump it’ Age Concern Isle of Man is to open a shop selling quality second-hand furniture at 73 Circular Road, Douglas. ‘Number 73’, as it is to be known, will provide a showroom for items ranging from beds to bookcases, sofas to soft furnishings and will be open on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Chief executive George Quayle said: ‘We’re looking at a mid-April opening but in the meantime we are accepting items and will be pleased to arrange free collection. We will also consider house clearances. ‘Number 73 is very much in keeping with today’s “reduce, reuse, recycle” way of thinking and will complement our Ramsey and Port Erin shops. And as with all the funds we raise, the money generated from sales will stay in the Isle of Man to support client services.’ To donate items now please call 613044. Ends
