New Training and Development Co-ordinator at Manx Telecom

by isleofman.com 25th March 2011
Manx Telecom has appointed Emma Walker as Training and Development Co-ordinator. Emma joins the company’s existing HR department based at Manx Telecom’s Isle of Man Business Park headquarters. Her new role involves working with managers to identify development opportunities and provide appropriate interventions from within the company or by sourcing external solutions. Emma says her decision to join Manx Telecom was influenced by her experience of the company as a customer. She said: “As a customer I have always been hugely impressed by the warmth and high standard of service I have experienced from everyone I have ever dealt with at Manx Telecom. My first impressions since joining the company have matched the experiences I had as a customer and I’m now enjoying making my own contribution to the business.” As you would expect from a company which was 88th in the recently published Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For list, Emma has received a warm welcome from her new colleagues. Emma says she has been ‘overwhelmed’ by the level of help and support she has been offered in her first few weeks at the company. Prior to joining Manx Telecom Emma worked as Personnel and Training Manager at AXA Isle of Man and earlier in her career worked in the recruitment industry. - ENDS -
