Ali Campbell Concert on August 23

The forthcoming show for Ali Campbell – legendary voice of UB40 – has been moved to coincide with the Manx Grand Prix. The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is pleased to announce that the re-scheduled concert will be staged in the Villa Marina’s Royal Hall on August 23, 2011. All ticketholders are being contacted to be informed of the new date and advised that their tickets will automatically be valid for August 23. The concert, featuring the former lead singer of UB40 and his band, was originally scheduled for last night (Thursday, March 24). As lead singer and founding member of one of the most successful reggae bands in the world, UB40, Ali Campbell is famous for iconic tracks such as "Red, Red Wine" and "Kingston Town". He has toured the globe for 30 years, currently with a full band featuring a large brass section.
