This years Search for a Star competition looks set to be the best in the competitions 3 year history.
Following the auditions for the 2011 competition, the final 12, who made their debut last Thursday, are said to be the best quality the competition has seen yet.
Commenting on the contestants, George Campbell, Community Affairs Manager of sponsors Alliance & Leicester International and also one of the judges said “Having been part of the judging panel since the competition began in 2009 I can honestly say that this year we have the cream of the islands talent. The standard is extremely high and whoever is crowned the winner of the ?1000 cash prize, professionally recorded CD and a spot at the Bay Festival will have fought a fierce competition”
The competition is set to run for a further 4 weeks, weekly in G&D’s nightclub every Thursday evening with the Grand Final being held on 21st April at the Manx Legion in Douglas.
