Age Concern Isle of Man’s second-hand furniture shop at 73 Circular Road, Douglas is to open on Saturday April 16 at 10am. Chief executive George Quayle said: ‘Clearly the “donate it, don’t dump it” message has struck a chord. Since we announced our intention to open Number 73 we have been inundated with furniture along with a whole range of other good quality items and I should like to express my thanks to everyone who has donated. Yet again the generosity of the people of the Isle of Man has been exceptional.’ Number 73 will be open every Saturday from 10am to 4pm. To donate items, please call 613044. (Free collection can be arranged). Ends
