Can you ‘a-fjord’ not to support charity’s Oslo bid?
On Sunday May 22 Junior Achievement needs 280 people to walk five laps round the NSC arena to help them complete a 700 mile challenge. Why 700 miles? That’s the distance from Isle of Man to Oslo and Junior Achievement is raising funds to take a team of students from Castle Rushen High School to the Norwegian capital to represent the Isle of Man in the JA-YE Europe Company of the Year competition this August.
Get together with friends, family and work colleagues and walk a minimum of five laps of the outer perimeter of the NSC arena and raise a minimum ?40 sponsorship in aid of Junior Achievement. The sponsored walk starts at 10am and is open to individuals and teams. (Teams must be of no more than five members. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult).
The event this year is being sponsored by Nordea Life and Pensions Limited, a subsidiary of the Nordea Group, the leading financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic region.
Junior Achievement is a Manx-registered charity that works to help the Island’s young people gain essential skills for when they leave full-time education…so can you ‘a-fjord’ not to support their Oslo bid? The charity’s programme managers Kirsty Coffey and Joy Spence have already put their names down for the walk.
