Crowe Morgan looking for Manx students to portray the Spirit of the Isle of Man” Photographic Competition for all Secondary students Aged 11 – 18 years to help produce Crowe Morgan’s 2012 Calendar Crowe Morgan, a local firm of Chartered Accountants, is launching a photographic competition for all young people aged between 11 and 18 years old in the Isle of Man. The winning photographs will be included in their 2012 calendar. This is an exciting opportunity for local aspiring young photographers to have their work published and distributed both in the Isle of Man and overseas!
David Morgan, partner of Crowe Morgan said “We produce a desktop calendar every year, and for the last 3 year have used Manx landscape photographs taken by Richard Kinley, which have received many favourable comments from Manx and overseas clients.
This yearwe are taking a different approach which recognises the talent of local young people and gives our clients, especially those who don’t live on the Isle of Man, a flavour of what life here on the Island is all about.” Mr Morgan continued, “We are therefore inviting all students in secondary schools and colleges to submit photographs that reflect our chosen theme, “Spirit of the Isle of Man”, for our 2012 calendars”.
Photographs can be about anything that could be classed as uniquely Manx, for example, Manx Heritage, Manx Countryside, The Arts, Sports and should be submitted in a high resolution (min 225 dpi) digital format, and landscape in composition. Young people can submit more than one photograph as photographs will be judged anonymously.
The closing date for the competition is Friday 23rd September 2011, but photographs can be submitted anytime before that date. Judging will take place in week commencing 3rd October 2011 with the winners and runners up being contacted the following week and invited to a presentation in November 2011 where the 13 winners will be presented with ?100 in vouchers, a copy of the calendar and a framed copy of their photograph.
