Manx Glass Saints - 18 v PokerStars - 22
PokerStars managed to hold off a charging Manx Glass Saints, to take a slim victory, in the 2011 Plate final.
The final few moments of the game were worrying for PokerStars as Manx Glass rapidly closed the gap, they’d built. PokerStars got off to the better start, notching up the matches first score, and it proved to make all the difference in the end. After allowing the gap build, to twice their score, Manx Glass began to play a defensive game. Using both goal keeper and goal defence to guard the PokerStars shooter, they were able to take much more possession.
Manx Glass more than doubled their score in the third quarter, allowing them to draw level later on. It looked like the Saints would snatch the game in the dying moments, but PokerStars refused to give in. After a slow start to the last quarter, PokerStars netted four goals to ensure they took victory, by the same margin.

Vanilla Room – 22 v Missfits – 59
Missfits barely missed a shot, during a dominating performance, as they outclassed Vanilla Room in the Vase final.
Vanilla Room applied pressure early in the game and built up a small 3-1 lead but couldn’t hold on to it for long. Missfits stepped up a gear and began their scoring spree; once they had taken the lead, there was no looking back. Vanilla fought back in the second a third quarters, but Missfits shooters continued to add to their tally.
The Division One winners scored at almost every opportunity, allowing them to maintain the large gap. The strain began to show on Vanilla Room, towards the end of the game, as they began to tire. Missfits persisted, until the final whistle, to consistently score and increase their large lead.

C&S Joinery A – 33 v Ballasalla A – 34
Ballasalla came from behind, with a last minute goal in extra time, to take victory, in a tense Cup final.
Ballasalla have dominated the Premier Division, remaining unbeaten all season, but they struggled in the first quarter. C&S had the better start, and were keen to make an impression on Balla, by playing a very quick game. The game stayed particularly close, with the gap never going over five goals, but it was C&S who retained the lead. Balla came out at the start of each quarter, fighting hard and putting the pressure on C&S.
There was a brief moment, in the second quarter, where Balla managed to bring the score level. C&S reacted quickly, chalking up three goals towards their total. It wasn’t until the final quarter that Balla managed to pull level again; it looked like it would slip from their fingers, as C&S scored again. The tension was almost visible and with seconds left on the clock Balla managed to bring the game in to extra time.
It was almost impossible to find a difference between the two teams, as they retaliated to each score. Balla had not taken the lead during the entire match, but after bringing the score even they dealt a final blow to C&S, seconds before the final whistle. C&S were heartbroken, as they had to settle for second place; Ballasalla found retribution, after losing out, by one point also, in last year’s final.
