Constable Jenette MARTIN from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident of damage to a vehicle caused by a hit and run traffic accident. The incidents occurred between the evening of Monday 11th April 2011 and 09.00 am on Tuesday 12th 2011 on Cedar Grove, Douglas. The vehicle involved is a green coloured Volkswagen which has sustained a large scratch along the length of the vehicle. PC MARTIN said “Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have been involved in, seen or heard the incident as it has resulted in considerable cost and inconvenience to the owner .” If you have any information regarding this matter, then please contact Police immediately. ENDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Police are investigating a hit and run Road Traffic Collision that occurred between 11pm on Monday 11th April and 7pm Tuesday 12th April on Market Hill in Douglas. A blue Vauxhall Astra was parked near to The Legion overnight and upon the owner returning the following day discovered the rear bumper was scratched on the driver’s side. Police are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen the damage being caused or the driver responsible to come forward. An amount of paint has also been transferred onto the vehicle and police believe the offending vehicle may be green in colour.
