Steam Packet Company Reports Continued Healthy Booking for TT 2011

by isleofman.com 14th April 2011
Following figures released in March that showed strong bookings for this year’s TT festival, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is pleased to report that, on a like-for-like basis for this time last year, forward bookings still indicate a healthy position, with motorbike forward bookings up 6% compared with this time last year and total passenger forward bookings up 11%. Around 10,300 bikes travelled to the event last year. Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘With six weeks to go until the world-famous festival, these figures are likely to change and we won’t be in a position to confirm the actual number of visitors until after the event. ‘However, it is encouraging to see that following the figures we issued in March, forward bookings still show a healthy increase on this time last year.’ ENDS
