The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is delighted to announce that the award winning indie rock band Travis is to perform at the Villa Marina on Wednesday 25 May 2011. Travis started out in Glasgow and the band comprises Fran Healy (Guitar/Vocals), Dougie Payne (Bass/Vocals), Andy Dunlop (Guitar/Vocals) and Neil Primrose (Drums). They were twice awarded the British album of the year at the annual Brit awards and are often credited as having paved the way for British bands such as Coldplay and Keane.
