Ramsey Chamber of Commerce

by isleofman.com 20th April 2011
A new ‘What’s On’ page has sprung up on Facebook for ‘fans’ of Ramsey and its shops. The page, administered by Ramsey Chamber of Commerce, will focus on promoting events in the town and special offers by its many independent retailers. With the new SureStrike Bowling Alley expected to open in early May and Regeneration Works already underway, there is a real sense of optimism in the town. Ramsey really comes into its own during the warmer months, with outdoor attractions such as the Mooragh Park and Milntown, as well as coastal and wooded walks and events such as Ramsey National Week. Community groups based in the town, such as schools and charities, are invited to post details on the Facebook page of upcoming events, with Ramsey’s successful Spring Fair which was held on April 16th being one of the first to benefit from the extra coverage the page can generate. Ramsey’s businesses are also welcome to use the Facebook page to promote special offers - a cost effective, convenient and fast way of reaching potential customers. Chris Blatcher, Chairman of the Chamber said “One of Ramsey’s extraordinary strengths has always been its many and varied independent shops. Our businesses can offer a highly personalised service and take great pride in doing so. Crucially, Facebook is another way in which retailers and customers can communicate with each other but at the customer’s convenience.” To view the page go to www.facebook.com/whatsonramsey ENDS
