Between 09:30am and 09:45am the Department of Infrastructure were cutting grass on Vicarage Road. Between these times workers returned to their van leaving a Green Hayter 21 Professional Lawnmower at the side of the road. Upon their return the lawnmower had been taken. The lawnmower is described as being for industrial use and of a considerable weight, probably needing more than one person to lift it into a vehicle. Police ask anyone who has witnessed this incident or if anyone has any information which could lead to the identity of the offender or offenders please ring PC 242 Dentith at Braddan Police Station on 852999. ------------------------------------------------------ Between Tuesday 26th April 2011 at 11:30pm and Wednesday 27th April 2011 at 8:30am, an act of criminal damage has been committed at The Cat With No Tail Public House, Governors Hill, Douglas. A stone is believed to have been thrown through a pane of glass in the conservatory area causing damage. Constable David Baker, based at Lord Street Police Station, is currently investigating this matter and is appealing for anyone who may have been in the area between the relevant times, and who may have seen any part of what occurred, to contact the Police 631212. Information can alternatively be provided, anonymously if preferred, via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. - Ends -
