The RBS International group has appointed Bill Shimmins as its new Island Director for the Isle of Man.
Bill also becomes Managing Director of Isle of Man Bank Limited and Head of Corporate Banking in the Island. He takes responsibility for all operations across RBS International and Isle of Man Bank and succeeds Victoria McEneaney who has moved to a new strategic role for the group, based in Jersey. He also joins the Bank’s Executive Committee Offshore (ECO) as the Isle of Man representative.
Bill has worked for the Bank since 2006 and has nearly 30 years’ experience in financial services. He worked in the City of London for a substantial period and has undertaken a number of senior management roles in the UK and in the Isle of Man. Most recently, he was Head of Mortgages with responsibility across Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

Bill lives in Glen Vine with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he is a keen cyclist and walker and this year he hopes to enter the Parish Walk for the second time.
