Manx Companies Aim To Boost Tourism Numbers

by isleofman.com 4th May 2011
Isle of Man Steam Packet Holidays and the Sefton Group have teamed up in a bid to boost tourism numbers in the run-up to the busy TT fortnight. Until the end of May, visitors are being offered a return foot passenger sea crossing with two nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation at the Palace Hotel ? Casino for ?99. The deal has been promoted via an advertising campaign in the Liverpool Echo and Liverpool Evening Post to entice north-west residents to make the short journey across the Irish Sea. Brian Convery from Steam Packet Holidays said: ‘Together with the Sefton Group, we’re able to offer this great value package to those seeking a short break, closer to home. The Isle of Man is an ideal destination for people to get away from it all, with beautiful scenery and relaxed pace of life.’ Sefton Group Sales Manager, Naomi Finch, said: ‘We’re delighted to be part of this fantastic offer and the initial uptake has been very good. The Isle of Man is a lovely place to be at this time of year, and we hope it will turn more heads towards the Island as a short break destination.’ -ENDS-
