PwC has acquired new audience response technology to compliment its training and meeting hosting activities. The technology is produced by the market leader in this field, IML, a company with whom PwC has a long-standing relationship.
The IML software works with Microsoft Powerpoint and allows questions to be asked to participants during meetings and training sessions. Handheld devices permit participants to answer the questions in real time, with results shown on screen.
Commenting on the new technology, PwC’s Advisory Director Gordon Wilson said: ‘The IML Click technology is new to the Isle of Man and unique to PwC. It will enhance the experience for our clients and staff by allowing them to demonstrate their views in real time during meetings and training sessions.’
Another feature of the technology is the option which allows meeting leaders to create and pose follow up questions in real time as well. This option allows views to be sought on topics that arise during sessions and can also help meeting leaders clarify earlier answers.
Commenting on how the new technology will be used, Gordon said: ‘We already deliver a significant amount of training both internally to our staff and externally to our clients, and we will be using IML Click to add value to that training for the participants. In addition, the system has a vote tracking feature which can produce a full report of the outcome of formal meetings involving shareholders and creditors. We think that it has significant potential in the local market. ‘
The technology permits up to 50 delegates to express their views simultaneously.
