Top rally teams are heading to the Island this weekend for two days of thrilling racing in the Manx Telecom Rally. The event is always popular with motorsport fans, and this year the race is expected to attract even more spectators with a stage finish on Peel Promenade. Racing begins on Friday May 6, but there is still time to get involved by volunteering as a marshal or timekeeper. All volunteers will receive a Marshal Pack and - if you are helping during the racing on Saturday - you will also receive lunch provided by Shoprite. Another bonus is a chance for marshals and timekeepers to win a mobile phone plus ?50 credit in a free prize draw. To be in with a chance of winning all that the volunteers have to do is to return their Manx Telecom Rally tabard to the TT Grandstand after the event - the lucky volunteer whose name is picked out of the hat will win a Nokia C1-01 phone. The Manx Telecom Rally begins on Friday May 6 in Port Erin for the first leg which starts at 7pm.
