Police are investigating a two vehicle RTC which occurred on the Ballaoates Road, outside the entrance to The Union Mills Football Club at about 6:30pm on Saturday 7th May 2011. The collision involved a red Ford Focus driven by a Douglas woman travelling towards Douglas and a Yamaha motorbike being ridden by a man from Glen Vine travelling west. The rider of the motorcycle required hospital treatment but was discharged later that evening with minor injuries. Police Sergeant Gary Heaton of The Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team said; “ I would like to hear from any witnesses who saw what happened or anyone who had difficulties on the road that evening due to the heavy rain fall, I can be contacted through Police Headquarters on 631212 or at Lord street Police Station on 631423” .
