The Department of Economic Development’s Training Division were delighted by the results of their latest NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) General Certificate Qualification programme. All seven delegates, made up from a wide cross section of industry, achieved exceptional marks in their final examination, with a 100% pass rate. The Training was delivered by local tutor Stan Yellop, Managing Director of Safety Management Services (IoM) Limited, a NEBOSH accredited provider whose offices are in Ballasalla.
The successful candidates were Dawn Bradley, Isle of Man College, Amanda Butler, Southern Amenity Site, Andrew Cowie, Manx Electricity Authority, Stephen Cretney, Isle of Man Fire Service, Robert Greaves, Gas Safe Register, Christopher Martin, Isle of Man Children’s Centre and Patricia Mitchell, Manx National Heritage.
The Training Services division offer a comprehensive range of accredited, vocational courses designed to meet the health, safety, and risk management needs of both private and public sector organisations.
Mrs Clare Christian MLC, Political Member for the Department of Economic Development, said:

The NEBOSH National General certificate syllabus has a modular structure which is divided into the following 3 units:
1. Management of health & safety
2. Controlling workplace hazards
3. Health and safety practical application
