Chrystals Open May 19 – May 22 – entry closing date has been extended to midday on Saturday 12 May. Entry is online on club website – albanyltc.co.uk. There is good prize money to be won in the singles and other prizes in the doubles. The club is running a fund-raising raffle which we hope all members will support even though not playing in the tournament. All proceeds will go to the Indoor Court Development Fund. For any students revising for exams the club lounge will be kept as a quiet room for homework. We all wish our juniors Good Luck and look forward to seeing them when it’s all over. All junior weekday session are now underway but club coach Ian Watson will be advising all juniors of any revised timing. The weekend Mini Tennis is thriving, so much so that an extra session, starting at 12midday is to be added on Sundays. Again players will be advised of any time changes. The president’s day competition was postponed from last Sunday and will now be played on Sunday July 3. The competition is for the En-tout-cas shield with entry in pairs but draw for partners. The event will have a Wimbledon theme as it will be Men’s Finals Day. Entries to Bryan Sharp, Ballabreck, South Cape, Laxey IM4 7BY. Entry fee is ?6 and includes a cold buffet lunch. Cheques payable to Albany LTC. ENDS
