Diocesan Media Release

by isleofman.com 11th May 2011
In a week where some churches on the Island have been looking to the future and how they are used one Douglas church, St Ninian’s is actively encouraging people across the threshold for a completely different event. Following on from the Bishop’s discussion with church leaders at Mount Murray last year looking to the alternative and regular use of the Island’s church buildings The Revd John Coldwell invited Christine Collister to come and have a look at the church and see if it was a suitable venue for live music. St Ninian’s isn’t just a church building…it incorporates the very contemporary parish centre within the building itself and many comment on it when they come in. And so for what is initially a one-off event, Christine Collister will play supported by local musicians, Strengyn, (who supported Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam at the Gaiety Theatre last year) in what will surely be a memorable evening of music and entertainment. Full details below Christine Collister in Concert Christine Collister is playing a date on her current tour back home on the Isle of Man.
