Isle of Man Proves Bloggers Delight

by isleofman.com 13th May 2011
Two online travel bloggers have been enjoying the best of Manx hospitality this week thanks to Isle of Man Tourism and Manx2.com. Zoe Dawes, from Thequirkytraveller.com and Andrew White from WalksaroundBritain.com arrived on the island courtesy of Manx2.com earlier this week and have been writing about their sight-seeing, walking and eating out. The regular updates to their respective websites and twitter feeds have been very positive and have included pictures and recommendations. Zoe chose to visit the Island, a favourite holiday destination from her childhood, which she describes as a ‘dream trip’, after winning Travel Titbits’ Britain’s Best Travel Blogger competition. The visit was organised by Isle of Man Tourism. Zoe flew in from Blackpool and Andrew from Leeds Bradford International. Manx2.com Chairman, Noel Hayes, said: ‘We hope both Zoe and Andrew thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Isle of Man. Both have been making regular blog updates online and it sounds as though they’ve enjoyed their time here. ‘Social media is both a useful and far-reaching means of communication and we hope that followers of both Zoe and Andrew are encouraged to come and see the Isle of Man for themselves. More details are on our facebook page www.facebook.com/FlyManx2.’ Geoff Corkish MBE MHK, Political Member for Isle of Man Tourism, said: ‘Zoe and Andrew are famous travel bloggers so it is tremendous coverage and support for our Island to be featured by them. We are grateful for the support from Manx2.com for the sponsored travel all contributing to what we all hope will be a successful year for tourism.’ http://twitter.com/quirkytraveller/ www.thequirkytraveller.com/ http://twitter.com/WalksBritain www.walksaroundbritain.co.uk - Ends -
