Environmental Liability Seminar

by isleofman.com 13th May 2011
Marsh IOM is hosting a lunchtime seminar on ‘Environmental Liability’ on Wednesday, May 25. The seminar is being run by David Edwin, a Senior Vice President within the Marsh Environmental Practice, who will provide the thoughts of an underwriter of such risks. David will be supported by Duncan Spencer, the UK and European Environmental Impairment Liability Manager for Liberty Mutual Underwriters. Environmental liability is the term used for the process through which responsibility for the cost of damaging the environment is transferred back to those that cause the damage. Sarah Hewitt, Head of Marsh’s insurance broking operations on the Isle of Man, said: ‘Environmental Liability can be confusing and onerous, with various applicable pieces of legislation and directives. ‘But it’s an important topic and this seminar, which is open to all, will provide an overview and insight into this area of risk and exposure, advising you on what you need to know.’ If you are interested in joining us at this free event, please RSVP to Valerie Mulhern for further details – Valerie.Mulhern@marsh.com Ends
