Male Charged With Drugs Offences

A 27 year old Douglas man has been arrested and charged with a number of drug related offences including producing class ‘A’ controlled drugs to the island. His arrest followed the seizure of a quantity of what is believed to be Cocaine over the weekend. The estimated Isle of Man ‘street value’ for the drugs is approximately ?6,000. Detective Sergeant RICHARDS from the Pro Active Team stated “The Police will make every effort to reduce the supply of controlled drugs to the island at every level, to ensure the community is kept safe from criminals seeking to profit from crimes such as this.” The man is due to appear in Court at 10am on Tuesday morning.
