Netball Summer League Round-up.

by isleofman.com 17th May 2011
Two weeks in and SMP Ballasalla have yet to be beaten throughout all the season’s contests but have been knocked off the top spot by Route 1 with a 12 goal difference! Missfits, currently 3rd, will struggle to maintain their place as they go head to head with Route 1 tonight (Thursday). Toomraiders sitting in 5th place after their convincing 22-4 win against Thompson Travel, should look to moving up the leader board as the favourites against Manx Glass Saints (currently 8th). Team DQ v Thompson Travel is a tough call and although DQ trail Thompson in the rankings, the game could easily be theirs on performance. Angels don’t hold up much hope as their first team will face SMP Ballasalla and second team, Ramsey, although with the summer league rules, nothing can be taken for granted, it’s all in the draw! Route 1 should take the easy victory against Missfits leaving a 3 way fight for 3rd spot. Goal difference is the key to securing places moving forward, better practice your shooting! Fixtures: Thursday 19th May 2011 @ St. Ninnian’s 6.15pm (Court1) Ballasalla V Angels 1; (Court 2) Toomraiders v Manx Glass Saints; (Court 3) Team DQ v Thompson Travel. 7.15pm: (Court 1) Route 1 v Missfits; (Court 3) Ramsey v Angels 2 Results: Manx Glass Saints 10, Angels 2 6; Team DQ 16, Missfits 8; Tooraiders 22, Thompson Travel 4; SMP Ballasalla 34, Ramsey 13; Route 1 42, Angels 1 2.
