For the sixth year in succession, Team Royal London 360 will be staging a "rider of the month" award for the 2011 season. The competition runs from April to August and all the winners will receive a commemorative trophy and a cash prize, which this year has been increased to ?50 in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the club's youth league at the NSC. April's recipient of the award is sixteen year old Jake Kelly, who has produced a string of impressive early season performances both on and off the island. In the prestigious British national youth circuit race series the talented young Manxman, who is a member of the British Cycling Talent Team, finished an excellent 6th in the opening round at Bristol and a superb second overall in the IOM Youth Tour round, winning the final stage at the NSC in fine style. In other local events Jake has won all four of the Royal London 360 youth league rounds he has contested and, competing on equal terms with the senior riders, has scored top three placings in the 10 mile time trial league and two of the local road races.
