Whispers Returns To The Palace Hotel & Casino Complex

by isleofman.com 18th May 2011
One of the Island’s most popular nightspots is back on the Douglas social scene, with the reopening of Whispers. Situated in the former Piano Bar at the Palace Hotel & Casino, Whispers is back due to popular demand. Adrian Brockhouse, Director of Hotels & Leisure for the Sefton Group, said: ‘The name “Whispers” has long been a crowd-pleaser with the Manx public and we’re delighted to announce its return. ‘In its previous guises, that particular bar has always proved extremely popular as a late night venue. We’ve had many requests for Whispers to make a comeback, so we’re confident this will maintain, and indeed build on, that popularity. ‘It will also compliment some of the new entertainment we’re bringing to the Shearwater Suite. We’re bringing back cabaret nights and live music in the Shearwater, such as the Blue Train Big Band, who are performing on Friday, May 27. Whispers Bar will provide a great way of rounding the night off after the shows are finished at midnight.’ Whispers is open every Friday and Saturday night, from midnight until 3.00am. Entry is free and there’s live music each night from Nigel Williams. ENDS
